Social Responsibility

At Hood River Distillers, we are committed to promoting the enjoyment of our products safely, responsibly and in moderation – Stay in Control.® We know that social responsibility means much more than promoting the responsible consumption of alcohol and our business practices are guided by our awareness of our impact on society, our community and our environment. Below are some of the things we are currently doing to make a positive impact on our local and global communities.

community

Locally founded, owned and operated since 1934, we have deep roots in the Pacific Northwest, with a special affection for the Hood River Valley, which we call home. We believe that businesses, large and small, are vital to the success of any community. Therefore, we are committed to reinvesting in our community to improve the lives and well-being of current and future generations. As much as possible, we source ingredients from local farms and orchards, and a portion of the by-product made during production of some of our spirits is donated back to local farms to use as livestock feed.

employee wellness & benefits

Our company is built on relationships and we are who we are because of our valuable employees and the bonds each of them share with coworkers, suppliers and customers. We invest in our employees by offering fair and equitable wages, providing comprehensive health care, and promoting wellness by supporting a positive work/life balance that embraces the Pacific Northwest lifestyle. Hood River Distillers also offers a generous contribution to our Employee Retirement Plan for all employees, full-time and part-time, after 90 days of employment.
