TIMBERLINE VODKA WINS DOUBLE GOLD AT THE 2021 SAN FRANCISCO WORLD SPIRITS COMPETITION
Timberline Vodka, the newest spirit added to the Hood River Distillers’ portfolio, is honored to announce its Double Gold Medal win at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition. The San Francisco World Spirits Competition is one of the most prestigious and well-respected award competitions in the spirits industry, and Double Gold Medals are only awarded to entries that receive a Gold medal rating by all members of the judging panel.
Judged by 30 world-renowned experts in the industry, the San Francisco World Spirits Competition requires that each spirit be rated through a blind tasting process. While conducting their tasting, the experienced judges evaluate each product on an individual basis, and not compared to other entries in the flight. During this stage, judges determine which entries are worthy of a Gold, Silver, or Bronze medal.
With over 3,500 entries from around the world, a Double Gold Medal award is an honor at any time during a brand’s life. To win it upon launch is rare, and a tremendous testament to the credibility of a spirit.
“We went through countless versions to get the perfect balance of grain and apples to make sure that this vodka was not only fantastic on its own, but highly mixable.” said Caitlin Bartlemay, Head Distiller. “Our whole team is so grateful to receive such an amazing honor right out of the gate for our newest brand.”
Distilled at the highest standards with 46 levels of purification, Timberline Vodka is a unique blend of grain, Pacific Northwest apples and glacier-fed spring water from Mt. Hood. The expert distillers of Timberline Vodka perfected the balance, adding just enough apple for a richness not found in other vodkas – sweet on the onset, mineral and crystalline in the middle and clean on the finish.
