DID YOU KNOW? APPLE BRANDY'S AMERICAN HERITAGE
Apply Brandy was America's first original spirit. An abundance of orchards (thanks, Johnny Appleseed!) allowed for Americans to imbibe in apple cider and brandy in the 1700s. Almost a century before American Whiskey was born, Apple Brandy, or "Applejack", was made using freeze distillation and was the foundation of American spirits before Prohibition, almost a century before American Whiskey was born.
Bourbon has been distilled in the United States since the 18th Century. While bourbon is revered as the country's "native spirit", it wasn't designated as a distinctive product of the United States until 1964.
Hood River Distillers launched "Old Delicious" Apple Brandy as one of its first brands after the company began in 1934. A revival of this old small batch recipe, Old Delicious Double Bourbon Barreled Apple Brandy is a combination of American spirits heritage — an authentic apple brandy aged in Kentucky Straight Bourbon barrels.
