Trail's End®
Finished Small Batch Bourbon
The end of one path forms the beginning of another. This is not just our philosophy but our story. Trail’s End is a true-born Kentucky Bourbon aged in charred new American Oak barrels. It then travels west to Hood River, Oregon where it undergoes a unique finishing process and is proofed with glacier-fed spring water from Mt. Hood. What emerges is an instant classic.
Trail’s End 8-year kentucky straight Bourbon whiskey
finished with oregon oak
First collaboration between Hood River Distillers, the oldest distillery in Oregon, and our expert team at Clear Creek Distillery, the second-oldest distillery in Oregon.
TASTE: Initial introduction of roasted apples, hazelnut, chocolate, and candy cap mushroom continues mid-palate. A long finish of sweet cream and more hazelnut neatly ties in the initial aroma, resulting in a cohesive profile.
AROMAS: Considerably less opening bite with the introduction of Garryana Oak. Focused aromas of toasted hazelnut, stone fruit, ruby port, and apple.
FINISH: Finishes long and warm, oily and buttery with a lovely malt spice kick and slight char note.
Available in 750ml & 50ml

Trail’s End 10-year kentucky straight Bourbon whiskey
finished in oregon oak casks
A select few barrels of 10-year Kentucky Bourbon follow the spiritual path of the Oregon Trail. Here we finish our bourbon in toasted Oregon Garry Oak casks to heighten the notes of vanilla and spice. Glacier-fed spring water from Mt. Hood completes the vision of our master distiller: A rare bourbon with hallmarks of age and heritage that flourishes with a provenance of its own.
TASTE: Initial introduction of caramel, vanilla, cherry, and roasted corn with a foundation of warm, earthy notes of summer pine and high desert moss. Bitter orange and delicate hints of lilac are hidden beneath the vanilla and oak.
AROMAS: Considerably less opening bite with the introduction of Garryana Oak. Focused aromas of vanilla, caramel, and cherry, with warm summer pine at the end.

Trail’s End 8-year kentucky straight Bourbon whiskey
finished in APPLE BRANDY BARRELS
This expression showcases an evolution of the brand's portfolio. A way to educate the consumer as to what is possible when only one variable is changed. Staves to Casks to specialty finishes. Oak is the only factor. Our most recent addition is aged for 8 years in charred new American Oak barrels before it is finalized by the distillers at Clear Creek in their own apple brandy barrels, creating a bridge between our brand and theirs.
TASTE: Oaky and herbal, like barley tea sweetened with manuka honey. Tastes of pipe tobacco and red ale on the mid palate finish in a ghostly bitterness imparted by the barrel’s waning char.
AROMAS: Warm September sweetness on the opening. Reminiscent of pie crust, maraschino cherries, flat cola, and late Summer petrichor.
